When a wild boar snatched a carrier bag and ran off, the furious owner gave chase – even though he was completely naked.

Quick-thinking actor and life coach Adele Landauer was on the scene at Teufelssee, a popular bathing spot in Berlin, and took a few photos of the unlikely pursuit.

She didn’t spare the hapless bag-owner’s blushes either – putting the pictures on Facebook and writing: “Nature strikes back!”

“He gave it everything”, despite being stark naked, Adele wrote. “I showed the photos to the man, he had a good laugh and gave me permission to make them public.”

The naked man gave chase to the boar and her two piglets – much to the amusement of fellow sunbathers

According to a report from German outlet T Online, the exasperated bloke managed to shock the boar into dropping his bag by surprising twitch a loud noise.

Nudism is a much more mainstream pursuit in Germany than it is here in the UK, and especially in warm weather it’s not uncommon to see Berliners sunbathing in the buff in public parks.

Adele’s photos found their way onto Twitter, where star writer Caitlin Moran shared them with her 850,000 followers and invited them to guess quite how the bizarre incident has come about.

Adele’s pictures are the talk of the internet today

The story got a shade wilder when it was revealed that the bag had the nudists’s laptop in it – and people started wondering what might happen once the wild boar got internet access.

Caitlin wrote: ” the bag the pig is stealing CONTAINED A LAPTOP. This pig has BIG PLANS.”

Perhaps the most amazing thing about this incredible sequence of photos is that this isn’t the first time it has happened.

Andrew Best wrote on Twitter: “So this genuinely happened to a friend of mine two weeks ago.”

“He was swimming at a naked bathing pond on the outskirts of Berlin,” Andrew wrote, “and a boar took his bag with all his stuff!

“Another naked sunbather chased and threw stones at the boar until it dropped the bag.”

Boars and other wild animal shave become increasingly bold during lockdown, as the deserted streets of many towns and cities have been become less frightening for them.
