And since his death, conspiracy theorists have often made wild claims that the California Love singer survived the shooting and went into hiding to escape the limelight.
To add fuel to an ever-growing conspiracy fire, a photo allegedly of Tupac in the back of the ambulance on the night of the fatal shooting has emerged.
YouTube channel WiredUp TV uploaded the image only days ago.
He said: “The picture on the left is believed to be Tupac when he was put into the ambulance.
“It’s to 100% sure it was him because a lot of people think he wasn’t put in an ambulance, people think he was taken to the hospital via helicopter
“But if you look closely you can see the thug life tattoo and the tattoo on the right of the African goddess he had on his chest.”
On the singer’s left hand, it appears as though his finger is wrapped up with something, with the conspiracist claiming like if it was shot off.
On the autopsy report, it says his finger was shot.
“This picture shook me to the core,” Danny, the show’s host added.
“You can see the colour pants he had on, the only thing you can’t see is the blood.”
Danny was adamant in claiming the photo wasn’t taken during a previous shooting that Tupac was injured in 1994.
He added: “He was not photographed inside the ambulance, I believe he was photographed outside.”
In the image taken in 1994, the singer was spotted with a neck brace on and what appeared to be bandages wrapped around his stomach.
Danny believes the newly emerged image squashes claims of the singer being taken to hospital in an ambulance and thus proves the singer faked his death.
“I believe Tupac purposely put himself in the ambulance to trick the police into thinking that he was shot and he was going to die.”
Tupac isn’t the only celebrity to have had conspiracies whirl around his death.
Only days ago one conspiracist claimed Elvis was photographed in a cafe 14 years after his death.
