Chelsea get Kante boost
Chelsea star N’Golo Kante has admitted he could spend the rest of his career at Stamford Bridge.
The midfielder has previously been looked at by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid for a potential transfer.
“Of course [I could finish my career at Chelsea], today I am with Chelsea until 2023,” Kante said.
“So, in my head, I hope to continue to have great seasons with Chelsea until 2023.”

Arsenal manager search blow
Luis Enrique is not willing to end his managerial hiatus to make a mid-season move to take charge of Arsenal.
The Spaniard has been taking a break since stepping down from duty with his country to look after his daughter, who sadly died earlier this year.
Enrique had been linked with a return to frontline action with Arsenal should Emirates chiefs cut ties with his compatriot, Unai Emery.
However, ESPN report Enrique is not willing to take on a team already enthralled in a campaign and wants his next job to be the start of a fresh project.

Leeds star in Man Utd sights
Ben White is not the only Leeds star turning the heads of Manchester United scouts with his performances so far this season.
Red Devils personnel have reportedly been impressed by midfielder Kalvin Phillips during their visits to Elland Road too.
Football Insider claim United have made repeated checks on the Leeds lynchpin, who attracted Premier League interest in the summer.
Leeds chiefs are likely to hold out for more than £20m for Phillips though, particularly as they are vying for promotion.

Messi to Arsenal
Arsene Wenger has again opened up on Arsenal’s failed move for Lionel Messi, suggesting they twice tried to land the Barcelona talisman.
“We tried but we were not near to signing Messi. We tried to sign Pique, Fabregas and with Messi we had already tried,” Wenger said.
“But already he was too big at the time. Don’t forget 2006 when we played the Champions League final against Barcelona Messi couldn’t play because he was injured.
“He’s today 32 and that’s 13 years ago and he was already a regular player in the first team. What these guys have done is unbelievable.”

Chelsea transfer limbo
Chelsea flop Danny Drinkwater is set for another transfer window of upheaval with Burnley planning to cut him loose in January.
The midfielder has failed to make his mark since swapping Stamford Bridge for Turf Moor on a temporary basis over the summer.
And, according to The Sun, Sean Dyche is going to send him back to Chelsea rather than extend his stay in east Lancashire.
That represents a problem for Drinkwater as Express Sport understands Frank Lampard deems Drinkwater surplus to requirements.

Aston Villa’s Morelos verdict
Aston Villa have decided against pursuing a deal for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos during the January transfer window, it is claimed.
Morelos has once again been in red hot form for the Gers this season, attracting interest from clubs across Europe.
However, Villa will not be offering the Colombian a route to the Premier League when the opportunity presents itself in the new year.
The Athletic claim Villa have decided against launching a mid-season raid on Ibrox for the highly-rated Morelos.

Raiola’s Pogba plan
Manchester United star Paul Pogba is being lined up for a return to Juventus by his controversial agent Mino Raiola.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim the agent wants to get his client out of Old Trafford again as soon as possible.
And a move back to Juventus is in his sights, despite previous serious interest from Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.
Barcelona has previously been touted as a potential destination for Pogba, whose 2019/20 campaign has been derailed by injury.

Tottenham identify Eriksen replacement
Tottenham chiefs want Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech to take Christian Eriksen’s place in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
Eriksen is set to depart north London in either January or next summer with his contract running down and no extension in prospect.
Tottenham have apparently wasted no time in identifying a replacement for the Dane, with Ziyech top of their list of targets.
The Morocco international has impressed during his time at Ajax and was in fine form last week as they drew 4-4 with Chelsea.

Celtic exit regret
Celtic legend Chris Sutton thinks Brendan Rodgers will have rued his decision to quit Parkhead for Leicester after watching the Hoops beat Lazio last week.
“As I left the Stadio Olimpico after Celtic’s stunning win over Lazio, I couldn’t help but wonder what those who were whining about the club apparently going backwards when they appointed my old team-mate to replace Brendan Rodgers were thinking,” Sutton said.
“At the same time, I wondered what Rodgers himself was thinking. Celtic’s former manager is doing a terrific job at Leicester just as he did at Parkhead. But he must have watched that with a touch of envy.”
Celtic beat Lazio in Rome last Thursday night thanks to James Forrest and Olivier Ntcham’s strikes.

Premier League scouting mission
Southampton are the latest Premier League side to show an interest in signing Genk hitman Mbwana Samatta.
The Tanzania international was the leading goalscorer in Belgium last season, scoring 32 goals in all competitions as he helped his side win the Jupiler League.
Samatta, who is available for around £10m, was watched by several Premier League sides against Liverpool last Tuesday in the Champions League.
Express Sport understands Newcastle and West Ham were also represented at Anfield, while Leicester have also taken a look at him this season.

Chelsea set Giroud price
Chelsea are ready to part with Olivier Giroud in January if they receive a £5m bid for the wantaway striker.
Giroud is behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the Stamford Bridge pecking order and could do with a move to keep his France career alive.
Frank Lampard has opened up about wanting to keep hold of the former Arsenal star, but he might be sold when the transfer window reopens.
Inter Milan, Lyon, Nice, Bordeaux and Vancouver Whitecaps are all interested in signing Giroud, who Chelsea value at £5m.

Arsenal’s sack stance on Emery
Arsenal boss Unai Emery is not in any immediate danger of losing his job despite the Gunners’ defeat to Leicester.
Saturday’s 2-0 loss at the King Power Stadium came just days on from a disappointing 1-1 Europa League draw at Vitoria.
But, according to ESPN, the result is not going to cost the under-fire Arsenal manager, who has the backing of the board.
Emery’s situation may change, however, if Arsenal fail to get back on track and start sliding down the Premier League table.

Man Utd vs Liverpool scrap
Manchester United and Liverpool may be set for a north-west battle over on-loan Leeds winger Ben White.
Football Insider reckon both Premier League giants are keeping tabs on the Brighton ace’s development at Elland Road.
And they might scrap it out for his signature in the new year as they seek to snap up one of the UK’s brightest prospects.
United and Liverpool were both interested in Daniel James over the summer, with the Red Devils winning that transfer skirmish.
