Birds have been captured falling from the skies in a British town to spark bizarre conspiracies about the area’s 5G network.
Joshua Brown was visiting his grandmother at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire in Coventry last week when he witnessed the bizarre sight.
His footage showed how the floor outside the hospital became littered with the birds.
“They are literally falling out the tree as we’re speaking, they’re everywhere,” he said in the video.
The clip has exploded online since it was posted and many people have claimed it is because of the 5G network in the region.
Critics of the network claim the new radio waves could cause cancer, infertility and even autism – despite there being absolutely no proof.
YouTube conspiracy theorist Disclose Screen was among those to share the video and viewers were quick to blame 5G.
“5G is f***ing the world,” one wrote while another commented: “5G kill zone.”
But others pointed out that the video was taken on October 7 and 5G supposedly didn’t roll out until October 11.
Joshua told CoventryLive he was aware of the 5G conspiracy but “didn’t know enough about it to say” any more.
And, after speaking to the RSPB, he revealed the more plausible explanation was that the birds had simply flown into the hospital windows.
“I didn’t see any hit windows, but I’ve spoken to the RSPB who have taken a look at the video, and they think that most of the birds have twisted necks like they’ve hit something,” Joshua told CoventryLive.
“I spoke to a security guard who thought that some birds had gotten into the building and the birds falling out of the sky had something to do with pest control.”
It is not the first time outrageous claims have surfaced that the 5G network has killed creatures.
Earlier this year, the conspiracy world was sent into a frenzy with footage of bees dropping dead “near 5G towers”.
