A rare mutant pig with six legs has been captured walking like a spider through the grass.
The freak piglet, which was born on a Uruguayan Farm, has caused a stir among locals who say they’ve never seen anything like it.
In the video, the black-and-white piglet can be seen walking in the grass with its two extra legs in the air.
Apart from its abnormal extra limbs, the baby pig is believed to be otherwise healthy.
It was born in a farm in El Arbolito, a rural area located 20 kilometres from the city of Rocha, in the southern Uruguayan department of the same name.
The piglet was born last Thursday along with eight other piglets, local media report.
Ruben Pereira, the owner of the farm where the animal was born, told local newspaper El Observador despite animals which are born with additional limbs usually having serious health issues, the piglet is still alive and is in a healthy condition.
Local media report Pereira thought of taking the piglet to the vet when it was first born but as the animal can walk and feed properly he decided the trip to the vet was not necessary.
Pereira and the co-owner of the piglet, named in reports as Estela, told reporters: “We have never seen anything similar to this.”
They added that they would take the piglet to the vet soon in order for it to be checked out.
Last month a mutant calf was born with a human-like face in another bizarre video.
The malformed animal’s face resembled a grumpy human.
