Kurt Cobain faked his death and has regularly beeing spotted alive and well, according to a sensational conspiracy theory.
The Nirvana frontman was found dead in his home in Seattle, Washington, US, on April 5, 1994 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
But theories have abounded ever since that the official line of reports may not have been all they seemed.
Some believe the grunge icon was murdered and others maintain that despite the overwhelming evidence proving his death, Cobain never actually died.
Now, on what would have been the star’s 53rd birthday, a series of videos have resurfaced that outrageously claim to back up the conspiracy.
Bakersfield, California – July 2019
A teenager believed he may have bumped into the singer on a road in Bakersfield last summer.
In a video shared to Twitter, a busker with the identical long blonde hair is seen strumming a guitar.
He wiggles back and forth as the cameraman sits in the car. But “Kurt” doesn’t sing or speak throughout the clip which makes the already questionable clip even more bizarre.
The clip was posted on July 30, 2019, and captioned: “Spotted Kurt Cobain in Bakersfield.” It has since been seen more than 2,000 times.
Nice, France – March 2019
The conspiracy world was sent once more into a frenzy when a Twitter user shared a bizarre picture claiming to show the singer chilling in Nice.
Computer programmer Daniel Carr posted the image of a man wearing Cobain’s classic white sunglasses chilling in the sunshine in March of last year.
Next to the snap, he tweeted a picture of the real Cobain wearing the exact same outfit to show just how similar the duo looked.
It was captioned: “Kurt Cobain is alive and living in Nice, France.”
Peru – 2012
Perhaps one of the most famous “sightings” of Cobain came in the form of Peruvian singer Ramiro Saavedra.
The guitarist appeared on a talent show in his native country back in April 2012 and quickly became a viral sensation.
As well as his almost identical looks to the legendary singer, Ramiro had an eerily similar voice.
His rendition of Nirvana’s classic Come As You Are was near enough a perfect match to Cobain himself.
It was reposted to Reddit in 2017 where viewers flocked to the comments section to declare: “He is alive.”
Of course, Cobain isn’t the only *clearly* dead celebrity to have got the conspiracy treatment.
