A Google Maps user has claimed to have found a humanoid beast lurking in the trees which they reckon could be a prowling “Dogman”.

Reddittor TheLoneHunt3r shared a video about the discovery to the r/cryptids page where it has been upvoted 54 times since it was posted a day ago.

In the video, a vaguely humanoid shape can be seen in the woodland at the side of a road.

The truth-seeker even theorised that the beast could have been killing people and warned others: “Do you understand now what it means to go up against a Dogman?

“Nothing but absolute death.

“This creature is pure brute strength, speed, and absolute stealth.

“You won’t even hear it coming.”

Cryptids are paranormal animals that conspiracy theorists believe exist based on anecdotal evidence.

Dogman and the Yeti are an example of cryptids, with other famous ones including the Loch Ness Monster and the Kraken.

Some Redditors agreed that the mysterious figure was creepy and one confessed: “No lie, I drove on this road last night and it’s pretty isolated.”

But others were more sceptical and said the evidence was not credible enough.

One wrote: “As much as I love cryptids, I still think this one can be chalked up to very human causes.”

Another said: “You’re using a lack of evidence as evidence.

“You’re essentially suggesting that a lack of physical evidence actually points to a dogman, which I just don’t understand.”

A common explanation for sighting is a psychological phenomenon called Pareidolia – which causes people to see human shapes in random patterns.

This comes after a “flying rabbit” was spotted by a surprised Google Maps user.

Another eagle-eyed viewer spotted a naked couple “having sex” on the bonnet of a car.

Meanwhile, Daily Star Online exclusively revealed claims that a “half-dog, half man” creature was lurking in forests across the US.
