A fish has been filmed bizarrely leaping out of a lake in a bid to hit a drone.
The adventurous creature was captured leaping a metres into the air in a bid to take the drone down.
After the drone is precariously flown closer to the water’s surface, the fish attempts to take down the craft.
During its second bid to capture the drone, the fish’s body comes within inches of hitting the crafts propellers.
A man in the background of the clip can be heard yelling at the fish when it comes close to hitting the drone.
Fisherman Ronald S uploaded the clip to Instagram where some 22,500 people have flooded in to watch the rare encounter.
After being posted by an aquatics site, a staggering 85,000 more have flooded in.
They captioned the clip: “Check out the height that this guy displays as he leaps from the water!
“Obviously this video from Ronald could have ended very badly, but it just goes to show how aggressive and powerful arowanas can be.”
One person said: “This is the first time I’m rooting for the predator and not the prey.”
Another added: “I had one a few years ago. It jumped from the tank and landed on my bed that was 6ft away from the tank.
“That was the last time I had an Arowana.”
Arowanas, often called Dragon fish, are a bony freshwater fish, that can reach weights of 2.5kg.
They’re known to be able to jump aggressively high.
