Mysterious footage from a Netflix documentary appears to show a disc-shaped object zipping through the skies behind a plane.

In the clip, taken from the show “The Hidden Science of Everything”, a plane takes off from San Angelo, Texas, to demonstrate how clouds make rain.

But in the background, another object appears and seems to zoom along in the opposite direction, momentarily visible above the wing.

The object resembles a disc and some viewers have claimed it is the classic “flying saucer” UFO and even evidence of aliens visiting Earth.

Since it was uploaded onto YouTube by conspiracy theory channel The Hidden Underbelly 2.0, the clip has been watched more than 3,500 times and sparked a lively debate.

A stunned viewer wrote: “Man that looked like you said a flying saucer. Like Roswell saucer.

“It’s a matter of time before the world knows the truth.”

One believer wrote: “Awesome, many UFOs travel around Earth so fast, that we Earthlings only spot a small percentage.

“Right place right time fortunes the lucky.”

“Super Cool….man you have to be fast to catch some of these UFOs/UAPs,” said a third impressed viewer.

Some people were more cynical and tried to suggest more mundane reasons for the oddity, with several people reckoning it could have just been a drone.

“Could it be a camera drone flying close to the airplane? It’s certainly strange in any case,” commented one.

A second said: “Motion blurred bird.”

Thanking “koby klar” for the find, YouTuber The Hidden Underbelly 2.0 said the original footage is in Episode 5 of the documentary at the 43:18 mark.

In another recent sighting, a fast-moving object appears to fly alongside a passenger plane taking off from Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.

This comes after International Space Station (ISS) cameras captured a mysterious object “with antennae” hurtling behind astronauts.
