Analog Devices to Buy Maxim Integrated for Over $20 Billion


Semiconductor maker Analog Devices Inc. said Monday that it plans to buy rival Maxim Integrated Products Inc. for more than $20 billion in what would be one of the largest merger deals of the year.

The all-stock deal would create a combined company valued at around $68 billion.
